1. Upload a CSV file
The best way to add containers to your dashboard is by uploading a CSV file that includes a column with your container numbers. If you know the shipping line, include that information in a second column for a faster search result. Learn more about how to format your CSV file for upload. The easiest way to do this is to email your CSV file to containers@cruxsystems.com. All it requires is a one-time setup of your file. You can also manually upload your files.
2. Include additional data points
If you know the shipping line and bill of lading, include those data points as they will help the system do a faster search, and get results for containers that end up in review. Here's what's happening behind the scenes when your containers are in review.
3. Upload smaller files
CSV files with less than 50 containers are processed more quickly. The system can import files of up to 1,000 containers at a time, but it will take longer to get a search result.
4. Add containers that are inbound to North America
We track all ocean cargo inbound to North America. See the list of the shipping lines and terminals we cover. We do not track historical data, so please do not send container numbers for containers that have already departed from the final port of discharge, as we will not be able to provide information about the container's prior journey.
