Tracking empty returns

The final status update you will receive for the containers you're tracking is "Empty Returned." Your containers will automatically be archived five days after they've been returned empty. 

• Once a container has departed from the terminal, the system will continue searching for a status update.
• Containers will automatically be archived five days after they've been returned empty. 
• If we do not receive a returned status within 15 days of departure, the container will be archived automatically.

The following shipping lines provide limited information regarding empty returns:

• Maersk
• Matson
• Safmarine
• Sealand

For these lines, we will often receive details notifying us the container has been returned, but no time stamp telling us exactly when.
